Early afternoon was ok, the rest of the afternoon/evening have been yuck. I should have known that things wouldn't end there last night. At 3.30am (we're still up and chatting) Tilly realised he can't find his mobile and so goes out to the van to check. I read on Ananova about this, two British families staying together for a weeks holiday in America were in a car accident. Four of the cousins are seriously ill in hospital and three of their parents dead.

Samhain was nice. My parents came round, I lit the fire and we chatted. When they'd gone I did my own ritual, both indoors and outdoors. Of course they'd come round to escape the hoards of village kids who eat them out of house and home when it comes to trick or treating. I got to bed at 5.45am, ok, an hour earlier but all my clocks excpet the computer one are still an hour out. Nothing to catch up on this time really after Friday night. My parents had seen a black and white cat one and quarter miles away in the Top Woods some months ago, and when M was last here he mentioned the cat as it was raiding his rubbish bins.
